This past August, Kisha and I had the honor of attending the 150th Birthday of Thomas Point Light at the Naval Academy. The Legendary photographer David Sites was the Keynote Honorary Speaker! If you don’t know David Sites, he does most of our front covers and is out boating every day. Not just some days… EVERY DAY!

Hannibal Lecter was a Non-Boating Human
Hannibal Lecter was an infamous doctor and cannibalistic serial killer from the Upper Chesapeake Bay area.
Dr. Hannibal was a social elitist and served as a board member for the Baltimore Philharmonic Orchestra and had his forensic doctor’s office in Baltimore. But that was all before being committed to the Baltimore Psychiatric Hospital. That’s when it dawned on me years ago — If Hannibal Lecter had enjoyed some chicken livers with some fava beans and a nice chianti on the back of his 36-foot Sea Ray, maybe he wouldn’t have wanted to EAT PEOPLE!

Everybody rocking into October and the Fall Season with plenty of things to still do out on the water.
UBBM will be down at the US Powerboat Show right by the Alex Hailey Statue. Stop by and say HIGH to us! We may even have some Painkiller Samplers with fresh ground nutmeg. Do not give up on boat- ing this season yet! We will probably have another false Summer, Then Fake Summer, and then an Indian Summer. Hopefully, after that, a few 70-degree days in November, and with the greatest amount of luck, the lighted boat parades will be warm at night with low winds and T-shirts! Who knows? Then put the boats away.
VERY, VERY FALL BOATING BAD NEWS!
So, I was speaking to my sister, Suzy Q, this past Labor Day Weekend. She was very excited about decorating her home with all of the lovely fall and autumn things she owns. She had flipped three bedrooms into fall colors. She is what we like to call an NBH! For her, the shorter days, fall leaf colors, colder temps, and warming up by her fireplace are all things she adores!!! So, I ask you? What’s the very, very FALL BOATING Bad News? I pulled into my driveway on September 7th, and there is Kisha (she’s my wife) on the porch decorating for FALL!! NNNooooooo!!!
