Kinda like being at Kings Point on one a those big coasters… hair back, hands in the air, sitting up front and smiling ear to ear as each day brings more Summertime Fun! I know a building absolutely covered in stickers.
Whenever I return to Key West I make sure I visit it. It is a tribute to “I WAS HERE” from people that have a love of everything Jimmy Buffett.
Shrimp Boat Studio located down by Schooners Wharf Area is where Jimmy recorded and returned many many times. Shrimp Boat Records is Jimmy’s recording studio! Every sticker and every tribute or random item left is a monument to the pilgrims who head to Key West each year.
All those stickers are proof that I existed and I love the life style of beaches, ballads, and boats. It’s about the stories behind it. The places where the magic happened. And now a days this little sticker- covered shack is practically hollowed ground for Parrotheads.
Somewhere behind those walls are the ghosts of lyrics that changed how millions of people view their work-life balance. From the person who made his songs into a lifestyle for Millions and Millions across the world.

A PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT FOR RECREATIONAL BOATERS
Warning, Non -Boating Humans have been seen conspiring to eliminate recreational powerboating from our planet.
The NBH’s have reached a new low by creating legislation that doesn’t permit any recreational boating of any kind to take place on the planet Earth.
They have suggested that recreational boating should only take place on Uranus. The NBH’s feel as though Uranus is big enough to hold all the recreational boats. They feel Uranus is so big, fat, and round all the sailboats, powerboats, fishing boats, and Jet skis could all be on Uranus. The NBH’s have also decided to allow kayak, paddleboards and canoes to continue use on planet Earth.
They don’t want them on Uranus.
DIVE BAR DOLLARS
As a kid my dad Jim High Sr. taught me a lifelong lesson In my room, I always had pennies laying around some on the floor.
Dad one day asked why I had pennies laying on the floor and explained that when he was a kid a penny was a lot of money. I picked up the pennies and from that moment whenever I saw a penny laying on the ground I would pick it up and usually think about my dad and thank him.
Now over the years my body has gotten older. A few years ago I decided not to pick up pennies because my knees, back and shoulders ache!
I still pick up all other denominations. I’ve been to a lot of tiki, dock and dive bars across the country and some have a lot of dollars hanging from the rafters.
So, I started to relocate a few to my own Dive Bar and last week realized that’s a lot of PENNIES! Dad is proud.
